2024 Toyota Corolla GR Specs, Price, Release Date
2024 Toyota Corolla GR Specs, Price, Release Date – The new 2024 Toyota Corolla GR comes in two trim levels: the base-level Core and the higher-end Circuit Edition, which has more prominent aerodynamic enhancements and unique interior trim. The top-tier GR Corolla will look like the dark gray vehicle seen below. A larger rear wing, forged carbon-fiber roof panel, Brin Naub suede sport seats, and a “unique Morizo-signed shift knob” are all part of the package if you like the aesthetic. Still, we’d want to clarify some of the vocabularies Toyota used when presenting the variation. This is a limited-time offer that expires after one year.
Not the GR Corolla in general, but specifically the Circuit Edition, which is “a limited-run vehicle coming in 2024,” according to Toyota’s marketing materials. When we asked Toyota to clarify what this meant for the Circuit Edition, they said it would be available in the GR Corolla’s debut year, and that was it, though it would be less widely accessible than the base GR Corolla Core. (While the Core is available now, Circuit Editions won’t be shipped out until 2024.) If you want one, the time to get one is now.

2024 Toyota Corolla GR Redesign
Exterior Design
Although this is disappointing, it may be alright if Toyota were to make some of the features found in the Circuit Edition available as add-ons or upgrades for the base 2024 Toyota Corolla GR in the future. Even while the forged carbon roof panel’s weight reductions are minuscule in comparison to the Core’s conventional roof, the raw carbon material looks a lot like the forged carbon Lamborghini has been dabbling with in recent years, so we’d love to see it stick around for the 2024 model year.
Corolla with a Lamborghini exterior? It’s too lovely to ignore or watch it fade away with the rest of the beige Toyotas in 2024. The larger rear wing on the Circuit Edition stands out more than the Core’s more understated unit and helps to visually ground the Corolla’s doughy silhouette. What’s up with the square-ish louvers on the hood? Those could be removed if desired, but we need to see how a car with this much personality could exist without them in any subsequent Core releases.
The GR Corolla shares the same GA-C basis as the standard model, but its body is more rigidly constructed. The normal Corolla’s torsion-beam front suspension has been replaced with MacPherson struts, while the rear suspension has been upgraded to a double-wishbone multilink configuration. The standard Michelin Pilot Sport 4 summer tires are mounted on polished black 18-inch wheels. There are new brakes with 14.0-inch front and 11.7-inch rear vented and slotted rotors and four- and two-piston calipers, respectively. Torsen limited-slip differentials are available for both the front and the back, although they are standard on the more expensive Circuit Edition. When the car is released later this year, it will first be offered in its basic grade, called Core.
Interior Design
Base versions may be had in white, black, or red with a roof to match the rest of the car. The new Toyota Audio Multimedia system, introduced in the 2024 Tundra, will power the 8.0-inch touchscreens standard in all GR Corollas. This system allows for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Information like turbo pressure, gear position, and active all-wheel drive mode will be shown on the 12.3-inch display in the instrument cluster in a GR-themed interface. The Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 package includes automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, involved lane control, blind-spot monitors, adaptive cruise control, aluminum sport pedals, push-button start, and other features that come as standard equipment.
2024 Toyota Corolla GR Engine
That begins with the G16E-GTS 1.6-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engine seen in the GR Yaris and the GR Corolla, although with more horsepower. This configuration generates 300 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, representing a significant increase above the 268 horsepower produced by the GR Yaris. Toyota claims this is the result of a combination of increased rigidity in critical areas and increased exhaust efficiency thanks to a three-piece muffler, as shown by the three exhaust tips protruding from the rear diffuser. In the range of 3,000 to 5,500 rpm, you’ll experience peak torque, and at 6,500 rpm, you’ll get your most horsepower.
Similarly, it will only be available with a 6-speed manual transmission that features downshift rev-matching and the GR-Four all-wheel-drive system. The 60/40, 30/70, and 50/50 front/rear power splits are all available options with the AWD system. The 60/40 split is optimized for regular usage, the 30/70 split is for the sportier feel, and the 50/50 split maximizes performance. Toyota claims the GR Corolla will perform admirably as a rally vehicle on both pavement and more rugged terrain.
