2024 Toyota Corolla Redesign, Release Date, PriceThe 2024 Toyota Corolla Redesign is offered in four standard trims in addition to the special Nightshade and Apex versions that Toyota has yet to reveal. From the standard powertrain, a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine, power is sent to the front wheels through a continuously variable gearbox (CVT). This year, the first-ever on-demand all-wheel drive technology is available on the Toyota Corolla Hybrid, but that’s material for a different piece. With the L model being discontinued, the base price of the regular 2024 Toyota Corolla sedan is expected to rise to around $22,175, putting it in competition with the Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra, and Mazda 3.

The 2024 Toyota Corolla is anticipated to be a carryover model after undergoing a mid-cycle refresh in 2024. Its 12th generation, the current Toyota Corolla, debuted in 2020. Adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, pedestrian detection, automatic high beam assist, and a rear seat reminder are some of the advanced safety features in every Corolla. The vehicle has blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic warning as optional safety measures. These security options will still be available for the 2024 Corolla.

    Exterior Design

The worst-case scenario has come true: we have to admit that the 2024 Toyota Corolla Redesign is much too fast. We were impressed with Toyota’s debut of the 12th-generation Corolla a few years ago, but this new iteration takes things to the next level. The 2024 Toyota Corolla has undergone a significant redesign, with the most apparent changes occurring in the SE and XSE trim levels. Yet, to the untrained eye, the basic form may appear unchanged.

    2024 Toyota Corolla Cross

New exterior colors, Underground and Midnight Black Metallic, have replaced Black Sand Pearl, and all bumpers and lighting have been updated to seem more contemporary. In addition to the revised and more angular bodywork, the SE above and XSE grades also get a gloss black rear diffuser and stylish-looking 18-inch Gloss graphite wheels. The SE, XLE, and XSE trim will get an updated headlamp assembly that is more aerodynamic while retaining the standard LED headlights and LED daytime running lights.

Improvements to the front grill have been made; however, they are minor. Depending on your selected package, the sedan’s high-gloss black grille surround, and sidebars will add to its aggressive appearance. A more impressive rear end would seal the deal for us on this vehicle. The standard brake light units, similar to halogen bulbs, are conspicuous. The only modification is a clear fake diffuser, which is only available on higher trim levels. Keyless entry, a power sunroof, and power-folding mirrors are some of the other notable exterior features.

    Interior Design

The 12th generation Corolla is a template for the 2024 Corolla’s interior design. Toyota highlights the new model’s contrasting stitching on the seats and high-gloss black trim and silver accents; however, these details were already present in the last version. The previous version may have been old-fashioned, but in 2024, the XLE and XSE will be updated with a 7-inch driver information screen to make up for the difference. The front seats are some of the comfiest in a car of this size and price range.

    2024 Toyota Corolla

Although the 2024 Toyota Corolla Redesign dimensions sometimes match those of the ideal room, we’ve never felt cramped (at least in the front rows) because of the expansive glass structure’s open sensation and an outstanding view. Toyota SofTex leatherette seats will get a few more color options in 2024. Red and black for an athletic look, or more muted tones like Moonstone grey or Macadamia cream with tailored trim are just two color schemes you may choose from. In line with the car’s newfound emphasis on performance, the SE and XSE now come standard with sport front buckets seats with better side bolstering and shoulder support.

    2024 Toyota Corolla Engine

Like the previous generation, the 2024 Toyota Corolla Redesign range has two engine options depending on the grade. The L, LE, and XLE get 139 hp and 126 lb-ft of torque from a 1.8-liter inline-four engine. All other “SE and XSE” models come equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. The standard configuration includes a front-wheel drive and a CVT gearbox.

The base engine’s focus on efficiency results in a pleasant driving experience, even in congested city traffic, due to its high level of low-end torque. The standard continuously variable gearbox (CVT) in the Corolla is known for rapidly shifting gears, which often requires the driver to look for more thrust while passing at high speeds on the highway. The larger 2.0-liter engine provides a fabulous pep in the middle rev range. It could be faster and more assertive, though.

2024 Toyota Corolla Price and Release Date

A few days ago, Toyota debuted the vehicle and introduced the available trim levels. We expect the website to be updated to take orders soon after the 2024 model year is announced. The best-selling 2024 Toyota Corolla Redesign has had a price hike of between $2425 and $3785 because of a mid-life update that improved the car’s look and safety features.

2024 Toyota Corolla Redesign, Release Date, Facelift

2024 Toyota Corolla Redesign, Release Date, FaceliftIt’s not the most compelling car to drive or the most luxurious, but a 2024 Toyota Corolla is unabashedly what it was designed to be: a practical family car. The Mazda 3 is a better option if you’re looking for a more refined and grown-up hatchback, but don’t let its patterned grille, rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets fool you into thinking it’s a sports car. The Honda Civic is another top contender to the Toyota hatchback since it is more entertaining to drive and just as practical.

Corolla hatchbacks are powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four engine, which is sufficient but ordinary with its maximum output of 168 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. Toyota’s tried-and-true recipe for reliability and safety is unparalleled. A compact hatchback is an excellent option due to its fashionable cabin, long list of standard features, and high safety and durability ratings. There are 10 airbags in every Corolla hatchback, including driver’s knee and side airbags for the rear passengers.

Automatic high beams, front collision warning, pedestrian assist, lane departure alert with steering assistance, dynamic radar cruise control, and road sign assistance are some advanced driver assistance technologies built into every new Toyota. Additionally, the XSE has blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. CVT models are included with both lane tracing assistance and dynamic radar cruise control.

    Exterior Design

All three 2024 Toyota Corolla trims come standard with LED lighting (headlights, DRLs, and taillights), and the XSE is the only trim with standard automatic high beams and LED fog lights. The SE is easily identified by its dark gray top grille surround, matching rear spoiler, and 16-inch twin-spoke alloy wheels. The SE Nightshade Edition is easily recognizable by its all-black exterior, comprising a black lower grille, black side mirrors, handles, badging, and a black spoiler, all of which are complemented by black 18-inch alloy wheels. XSE models include chrome accents and 18-inch alloy wheels with a machined finish.

    Interior Design

The cabin of the 2024 Toyota Corolla is state of the art in every way: it’s well-built, feels luxurious inside, and comes in at a price that could surprise you. A leather steering wheel is included in all three of the available packages. Front sports seats provide enough support and comfort for long vehicle journeys and everyday use, but they are not designed with racers in mind. The driver’s seat at the front of the base SE has six adjustment settings.

    2024 Toyota Corolla

The available upholstery colors are strictly limited to black and moonstone. The sportier SE Nightshade Edition is available exclusively with black cloth seats. Both Black and Moonstone mixed leather upholstery is available for the XSE Premium as standard. In addition, this model’s driver seat offers eight levels of electrical adjustment. The Corolla hatchback’s back seat is rather cramped and is best suited for only two passengers, despite its nominal capacity of five.

Toyota’s infotainment system is state-of-the-art, user-friendly, and packed with functionalities. It has a flawed six-speaker sound system and an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system conveniently located high on the dashboard. There is a USB media connector, two USB charging ports, and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard equipment. All models include Bluetooth, Amazon Alexa, or the SiriusXM satellite radio service. The XSE boasts a better audio system than the base model, with eight JBL speakers and satellite radio.

    2024 Toyota Corolla Engine

A Toyota Corolla hatch is far from becoming a hot hatch, despite its sharp, athletic appearance and compact, lightweight construction. Despite its elaborate front fascia, the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine only generates 168 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque. While a CVT is standard equipment across the board, a six-speed manual transmission is available on the SE and XSE.

    2024 Toyota Corolla GR

When driving in the city, the powertrain’s output and responsiveness are OK, but when rising to highway speeds or passing, they become slow and noisy. While top speed and a zero-to-sixty time of about eight seconds are not essential here, the Honda Civic’s optional turbocharged four-cylinder engine gives more eager acceleration.

2024 Toyota Corolla Price and Release Date

The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the 2024 Corolla SE manual is $20,815. If you opt for the CVT, the price jumps by $1,100 to $22,915. The SE Nightshade CVT model may be purchased for $22,815. The base price for a manual gearbox Toyota Corolla XSE is $23,765, while the base price for a CVT variant is $24,865.

While the SE and XSE with the CVT have access to the supplementary packages, only the SE Preferred Package (which costs $1,350 and adds greater connectivity possibilities in addition to blind-spot monitoring and cross-traffic warning) is available. For an additional $1,600, you can have an eight-speaker JBL sound system, dynamic navigation, speech recognition, and Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging, all bundled into the XSE Preferred Package.
