2024 Toyota Corolla Redesign, Release Date, Price

2024 Toyota Corolla Redesign, Release Date, PriceThe 2024 Toyota Corolla Redesign is offered in four standard trims in addition to the special Nightshade and Apex versions that Toyota has yet to reveal. From the standard powertrain, a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine, power is sent to the front wheels through a continuously variable gearbox (CVT). This year, the first-ever on-demand all-wheel drive technology is available on the Toyota Corolla Hybrid, but that’s material for a different piece. With the L model being discontinued, the base price of the regular 2024 Toyota Corolla sedan is expected to rise to around $22,175, putting it in competition with the Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra, and Mazda 3.

The 2024 Toyota Corolla is anticipated to be a carryover model after undergoing a mid-cycle refresh in 2024. Its 12th generation, the current Toyota Corolla, debuted in 2020. Adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, pedestrian detection, automatic high beam assist, and a rear seat reminder are some of the advanced safety features in every Corolla. The vehicle has blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic warning as optional safety measures. These security options will still be available for the 2024 Corolla.

Exterior Design

The worst-case scenario has come true: we have to admit that the 2024 Toyota Corolla Redesign is much too fast. We were impressed with Toyota’s debut of the 12th-generation Corolla a few years ago, but this new iteration takes things to the next level. The 2024 Toyota Corolla has undergone a significant redesign, with the most apparent changes occurring in the SE and XSE trim levels. Yet, to the untrained eye, the basic form may appear unchanged.

New exterior colors, Underground and Midnight Black Metallic, have replaced Black Sand Pearl, and all bumpers and lighting have been updated to seem more contemporary. In addition to the revised and more angular bodywork, the SE above and XSE grades also get a gloss black rear diffuser and stylish-looking 18-inch Gloss graphite wheels. The SE, XLE, and XSE trim will get an updated headlamp assembly that is more aerodynamic while retaining the standard LED headlights and LED daytime running lights.

Improvements to the front grill have been made; however, they are minor. Depending on your selected package, the sedan’s high-gloss black grille surround, and sidebars will add to its aggressive appearance. A more impressive rear end would seal the deal for us on this vehicle. The standard brake light units, similar to halogen bulbs, are conspicuous. The only modification is a clear fake diffuser, which is only available on higher trim levels. Keyless entry, a power sunroof, and power-folding mirrors are some of the other notable exterior features.

Interior Design

The 12th generation Corolla is a template for the 2024 Corolla’s interior design. Toyota highlights the new model’s contrasting stitching on the seats and high-gloss black trim and silver accents; however, these details were already present in the last version. The previous version may have been old-fashioned, but in 2024, the XLE and XSE will be updated with a 7-inch driver information screen to make up for the difference. The front seats are some of the comfiest in a car of this size and price range.

Although the 2024 Toyota Corolla Redesign dimensions sometimes match those of the ideal room, we’ve never felt cramped (at least in the front rows) because of the expansive glass structure’s open sensation and an outstanding view. Toyota SofTex leatherette seats will get a few more color options in 2024. Red and black for an athletic look, or more muted tones like Moonstone grey or Macadamia cream with tailored trim are just two color schemes you may choose from. In line with the car’s newfound emphasis on performance, the SE and XSE now come standard with sport front buckets seats with better side bolstering and shoulder support.

2024 Toyota Corolla Engine

Like the previous generation, the 2024 Toyota Corolla Redesign range has two engine options depending on the grade. The L, LE, and XLE get 139 hp and 126 lb-ft of torque from a 1.8-liter inline-four engine. All other “SE and XSE” models come equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. The standard configuration includes a front-wheel drive and a CVT gearbox.

The base engine’s focus on efficiency results in a pleasant driving experience, even in congested city traffic, due to its high level of low-end torque. The standard continuously variable gearbox (CVT) in the Corolla is known for rapidly shifting gears, which often requires the driver to look for more thrust while passing at high speeds on the highway. The larger 2.0-liter engine provides a fabulous pep in the middle rev range. It could be faster and more assertive, though.

2024 Toyota Corolla Price and Release Date

A few days ago, Toyota debuted the vehicle and introduced the available trim levels. We expect the website to be updated to take orders soon after the 2024 model year is announced. The best-selling 2024 Toyota Corolla Redesign has had a price hike of between $2425 and $3785 because of a mid-life update that improved the car’s look and safety features.
